Mental Health First Aid ® for Northern Arizona

Mental health challenges in northern Arizona have led community leaders to identify intervention strategies. We are on our way as a region to training 50,000 people in five years in Mental Health First Aid.®

Mental Health First Aid® is an internationally-recognized course that teaches how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health challenge. Mental Health First Aid® helps to save lives, just like CPR.

We need your support to help train Mental Health First Aid instructors to support the training needs in northern Arizona. These local training resources will be instrumental in helping us reach the goal of 50,000 people trained.

Through generous community support, more than 30 new instructors were trained in May 2019. We need your support to train even more instructors.

Additionally, your support can help fund training for “Mental Health First Aiders” - people in the community who simply want to help others and eliminate the stigma of mental health challenges.
