NAH's New Era Strategic Plan includes new location for the Children's Health Center
January 24, 2019
Better access to and more affordable care is in the near future of Northern Arizona Healthcare patients at the Children’s Health Center. As part of Northern Arizona Healthcare’s New Era Strategic Plan, NAH is investing $300 million in infrastructure, programs and people that will help achieve the organization’s Mission – Improving health, healing people. In Flagstaff, this includes the expansion of outpatient care facilities, including the Children’s Health Center.
Currently, the Children’s Health Center is located in the West Campus of NAH’s Flagstaff Medical Center. In order to better serve its patients, the center will move to a new location in East Flagstaff near the Flagstaff Mall.
Not only will this new location improve access, since it is conveniently located off Highway 89A, and will have more parking available for patients, but the cost of care will be less. Improvements in the way services are offered will allow NAH to offer care at a lower cost to patients.
The new location also provides a larger space and will allow the CHC to grow its offerings, as well as provide space to expand other NAH services into East Flagstaff. The current clinic is full, and appointment wait times exceed two months.
