Did you know that the suicide rate in northern Arizona is more than twice the national average? Suicide is the leading cause of death for our youth between ages 15-24? That being said, there are an average of 25 suicide attempts for each death which occurs by suicide. Suicide is a preventable public health crisis in our region. Together, we can create awareness and support those in need.
This year, beginning on #givingtuesday, we are campaigning on behalf of the Trauma Services and Behavioral Health departments at the Northern Arizona Healthcare to provide funding for suicide prevention educational programs and resources.
Your contributions will help provide training to help people know the risk factors, recognize the warning signs, and know the steps to take in order to save lives. Thank you for your caring donation.
If you or someone you know is in need of help now, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255.
